StudyPal is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your information when you use our platform and related services. By using StudyPal, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Personal Information: Name, email address, and phone number when you register or make a purchase.
• Account Activity: Course enrollments, bookings, and learning interactions on StudyPal.
• Technical Information: Cookies and similar technologies to improve user experience and site functionality.
• Google Calendar Data: Events created by StudyPal (with attached Google Meet links) to organize tutoring sessions.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We may share your personal data with trusted service providers solely for operating the StudyPal platform—for example, hosting services, email delivery, analytics, and payment processing. These providers are bound by confidentiality agreements and cannot use your data for any other purpose. We do not sell your personal data, nor do we share it with third parties for advertising.

4. Use of Google Permissions

StudyPal uses Google Calendar permissions exclusively to help organize your schedule. We create Google Calendar events related to your tutoring sessions and attach a Google Meet link. We do not share your calendar data with any third party, nor do we use it for any other purpose.

5. Google Permissions Revocation

You can revoke StudyPal’s access to your Google Account at any time through your Google Account settings. Upon revocation, StudyPal will immediately stop creating, modifying, or deleting any calendar events. Access and refresh tokens will be deleted within seven (7) days of revocation. Any data associated solely with revoked permissions that is no longer required to provide the service will be deleted.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your personal data for no longer than one (1) year after your last activity or after account closure/deactivation. This limited retention is strictly for legal and financial purposes, such as record-keeping and invoicing. After this period, your data will be permanently deleted or anonymized so it can no longer be linked to you. You may request immediate deletion at any time by contacting info@studypal.me, and we will process your request within seven (7) business days.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your personal data.
